14.0 K-factor Pendent Sprinklers
The TYCO Model ESFR-14, K-factor Pendent Sprinklers are Early Suppression, Fast Response sprinklers with a nominal K-factor of 14.0. They are suppression-mode sprinklers that are especially advantageous as a means of eliminating the use of in-rack sprinklers when protecting high-piled storage. This Model Sprinklers are primarily designed for protection of the following
storage arrangements:
• Most encapsulated or non-encapsulated common materials including cartooned, unexpanded plastics
• Some storage arrangements of rubber tires, roll paper, flammable liquids For more specific criteria, see Table B and the applicable design standard.

16.8 K-factor Pendent Sprinklers (For Europe Only)
The TYCO Model ESFR-17 Pendent Sprinklers are Early Suppression, Fast Response sprinklers with a nominal K-factor of 16.8. They are suppression mode sprinklers that are especially advantageous as a means of eliminating in-rack sprinklers when protecting high-piled storage. This Model Pendent Sprinklers are primarily used for ceiling-only sprinkler protection.
This Model Pendent Sprinklers provide the system designer with hydraulic and sprinkler placement options not presently available to traditional ESFR Sprinklers having a nominal K-factor of 14.0. In particular, Model ESFR-17 Pendent Sprinklers are designed to operate at substantially lower-end head pressures, as compared to ESFR Sprinklers having a nominal K-factor of 14.0. This feature offers flexibility when sizing system piping, as well as possibly reducing or eliminating the need for a system fire pump.

16.8 K-factor Upright Sprinkler
The TYCO Model ESFR-17 Upright Sprinklers are Early Suppression, Fast Response sprinklers with a nominal K-factor of 16.8. The sprinkler assembly is shown in Figure 1. They are suppression mode sprinklers that are especially advantageous as a means of eliminating in-rack sprinklers when protecting high-piled storage.
The Model ESFR-17 Upright Sprinklers provide the system designer with an upright option to the traditional pendent ESFR Sprinklers. With a K-factor of 16.8, Model ESFR-17 Sprinklers provide system designers with hydraulic and sprinkler placement options not presently available to traditional ESFR Sprinklers having a K-factor of 14.0. In particular, the Model ESFR-17 Upright Sprinklers are designed to operate at substantially lower-end head pressures compared to ESFR Sprinklers with 14.0 K-factor. This feature offers flexibility when sizing system piping and positioning the system piping with respect to the ceiling.

22.4 K-factor Pendent Sprinklers
The TYCO Model ESFR-22 Pendent Sprinklers are Early Suppression, Fast Response sprinklers with a nominal K-factor of 22.4. The sprinklers’ suppression-mode design is especially advantageous as a means of eliminating the use of in-rack sprinklers when protecting high-piled storage. The Model ESFR-22 Sprinklers are primarily used for ceiling-only sprinkler protection of the following storage applications:
• Most encapsulated or non-encapsulated common materials including cartooned, unexpanded plastics
• Uncartooned (exposed) expanded plastics in accordance with NFPA 13 and FM Global standards
• Some storage arrangements of rubber tires, roll paper, flammable liquids, and aerosols.

25.2 K-factor Upright Sprinkler
The TYCO Model EC-25, Extended Coverage 25.2K Upright Sprinkler is a UL Listed, standard response, extended coverage Control Mode Density Area (CMDA) sprinkler for storage applications. It is also FM Approved as a quick response, extended coverage CMDA sprinkler and as a Control Mode Specific Application (CMSA) sprinkler, as well as FM Approved for storage and non-storage applications. When used in accordance with National Fire Protection Association
(NFPA) 13, smoke vents and draft curtains are not required as specified in the 2015 edition of the International Building Code (IBC) and International Fire Code (IFC) for CMSA sprinklers with an RTI of 50 or less and a design of 12 or fewer sprinklers.

33.6 K-factor Pendent Sprinklers
TYCO Model ESFR-34 Pendent Sprinklers are Early Suppression, Fast Response Sprinklers having a nominal K-factor of 33.6 They are suppression-mode sprinklers that are especially advantageous as a means of eliminating the use of in-rack sprinklers when protecting high-piled storage. The Model ESFR-34 can protect a storage arrangement of 50 ft. (15,2 m) with a ceiling height of 55 ft. (16,8 m) without requiring in-rack sprinklers. In addition, it can be installed with a maximum centerline of thermal sensing element-to-ceiling distance of 17 in. (432 mm).
